Immaculate Heart of Mary School
Christ is the reason for this school

Overview
The overall student experience at IHM is something that sets us apart from the rest.  A small and close-knit community, IHM students enjoy a comprehensive and diverse program designed to help them grow intellectually and spiritually. With a mix of strong academics, rich culture, religious education, the arts, and athletics, IHM students are among the best-prepared and equipped to move on to High School and beyond.

 Student Council

The Student Council of IHM exists to expose students to the democratic process and to develop leadership.  Activities are planned for the school community throughout the year by delegates from grades 4-8.  Delegates are elected to the Student Council each school year by their peers.

Clubs

IHM's students share their talents through interaction with students from other schools across the local community.  Students participate in a variety of academic competitions including the New Jersey Math League and the DePaul Catholic High School Science Competition.  The students actively participate in the Forensic League, a program for public speaking and debate for fifth through eighth graders.  IHM students have consistently placed in the top 3 in this competition.  IHM's students also participate in Catholic school athletic programs, including volleyball and basketball.

Immaculate Heart of Mary Forensics Team, Alicia French, Lauren McGuire, and Monica Traupmann, represented us proudly at the Declamation Meet at the Cardinale Center on March 3rd, 2010.  Alicia brought home the first place trophy and Lauren won second place.

IHM Girl Scouts

Immaculate Heart of Mary's Girl Scout troupe enjoyed their visit to Farms View.  They got a perfect Fall day for their hayride

Looking to the Future

2010 High School Fair

Immacula
te Heart of Mary School played host to representatives from ten local Catholic High Schools including DePaul Catholic, Seton Hall Prep, Don Bosco Prep, Mount Saint Dominic, Morris Catholic, and Mary Help of Christians. The Fair gave seventh and eighth-graders from IHM and the Wayne area a chance to learn more about the schools and their programs.
Families were able to ask questions about admission, tuition, financial aid, curriculum and extracurricular programs.
